Question so much to see... so little time.

Greetings all.

I am thinking of starting a character in each of the campaigns just to see what each one is like. They all seem interesting with a different flavor. I know it???s possible to take non-prophecy characters to the prophecy campaign (at some point). I was wondering if these characters could do the prophecy quests to obtain skills (instead of buying them at the skill trainers). Is this feasible? If so, at what level is it possible to move from one campaign to another?

Thanks for your time.

Yes I think most skill quests can be done by non-prophecies chars. Wiki has a page about it http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Skill_quest. I don't think campaigns have a level requirement for entry except for the Eye of the North expansion (lvl 10). Like with Factions you have to make it to Kaineng Center to be about to travel to other campaigns.

You can do all the quests from Lion's Arch to the end of the campaign, and To Kryta: Journey's End (or whatever is its name), which is the quest just before the Gates of Kryta mission (this is the only quest doable before LA).

Not true. Everything before Lion's Arch is meant to occur when your characters are in the starting areas of the other campaigns. As a result, the quests will not be available and missions will not give rewards. Unless you want the cartographer, vanquisher, protector, and guardian titles, there is no reason to go back past LA. The rest of Prophecies continues as normal after LA.

It's not so much a level, as it is a location. Once you get to Lion's Arch (Prophecies) or Keineng Center (Factions) or Consulate Docks (Nightfall) you can get a small quest to travel to the other campaigns. It doesn't matter what level you are when you get there (afaik).

with the exception of the last hog and the ascalon settlement (there may be others)...there are about 15 or so skill quests that non-prophecies characters can do from Lion's Arch on (there are some in the desert that arent accessible for non characters too, just dont remember which)....these quests will give skill rewards for the core classes.
